welcome to

St John’s Montreux

An Anglican Community in the heart of the Swiss Riviera

We celebrate Sung Eucharist every Sunday morning at 10h30.
A mid-week Eucharist is celebrated each Wednesday at 10h30.

Our worship is in the style of the Anglican tradition using the ancient liturgies of the Church to make Christ’s presence known today in our lives and in the world.

We welcome all to our services.

We would love to hear from you! Subscribe to our email list for regular updates about the community, services and events at St John’s Montreux. Whether a regular, or occasional visitor we would love to keep you updated on the life of St John’s.

The cost of maintaining the chaplaincy of St. John’s Montreux with Villars is completely self-financed locally. We receive no external funding whatsoever and we are completely reliant on the faithful giving of our members and friends. Please consider supporting the work of the church through a one-time or recurring gift. Click below to learn all the ways you can give to St John’s Montreux.

In common with the rest of the Diocese in Europe, we have robust procedures to ensure the safety of young children and vulnerable adults. St John’s designated safeguarding officer is Jane Francois. Please contact her here for any enquiries or concerns.

If you are interested in holding a special service at our church or would like to speak to our chaplain, please contact The Revd Canon Paul Ormrod. He would be happy to assist you.

Dear Friends, Advent is a time of expectation and preparation. The season embraces both a period of preparation for the coming of Christmas and the call to be ready for the final in-breaking of the kingdom in power as Christ comes again in glory as judge and king....

Our church is located along the shore of Lac Léman, just outside the centre of Montreux. St John’s is across the street from the Territet regional train station, which is served by regular trains, buses and Territet funicular. Parking is available on the street in the surrounding area.

St John’s also serves the mountain resort of Villars-sur-Ollon through its active, year-round congregation there. To learn more about services in Villars, please visit their website.

St John’s Montreux is a chaplaincy of the Church of England’s Diocese in Europe and part of the Archdeaconry of Switzerland. Our chaplain is The Revd Canon Paul Ormrod.
